I bought a 75" Haier TV in May of 2018 from Purchasing Power. I was away at time of delivery so the TV was still in the box until July 3rd...never opened.

I opened the box, only to find the screen had a black spot in it a little to the right side. My first thought was screen was cracked, however upon closer look...it was not. The damage was internal. I contacted SquareTrade of which I was paying for a 3 year warranty.

SquareTrade told me my warranty was still with Haier because less than 30 days. Haier had me to take pictures, serial number and proof of purchase and send an email. No tech ever came out to physically view my TV. Upon checking my email the next day, I was told my TV was damaged physically (how would they know just by viewing a photo) and they would not replace it.

My TV cost $2100.00 of which I cannot watch...THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO EVER DEAL WITH! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!

Sad Are there any other means besides court that my issue can be resolved! Sad

I purchased this same tv on 3/1/2017, and screen of death on 9/11/2018 . These LED televisions are the worst and most expensive technology that has ever existed.

LCD technology in my opinion ought to make a comeback, but with larger screens as that of the 75โ€™ inch.

LCD last way longer. LED TVs suck.

Of course there are alternatives. But you failed to utilize them.

Nowhere do I read that you issued a formal written complaint and served it via Certified Mail return receipt requested. That action would have established an admissible timeline and record of attempted remedies. It is also unfortunate that you delayed discovery of the defects beyond the usual claim period. Was this item new or used ?

Why Square Trade ; is that not some eBay creation for used equipment ? I am confused.

Thank you so much for that. I will try that.

I am still not able to enjoy my television. Square Trade is part of the package deal fro repairs when I got the TV.
